A Reflection of Time, Emotion, and Transformation
Art has the power to shape the energy of a space, evoke emotion, and invite deeper contemplation. The two bodies of work presented here—Works on Board and Works on Paper—each tell a unique story, yet both invite a deeper connection to the present moment. Each collection offers a different perspective—one centered in stillness, the other in transformation—yet both serve as a reminder to be intentional with our time, our thoughts, and the stories we choose to tell.

Works on Board:
Abstract Art for Stillness and Serenity
Works on Board was created with the intention of bringing a sense of calm into a space. These textured abstract pieces encourage contemplation—offering a quiet, meditative presence that allows for inward reflection.
The layered compositions create depth and movement, yet remain soft and balanced, fostering a feeling of serenity.
Drawing from his background in furniture finishes, Kerr developed three distinct series within this collection, each exploring different themes of presence and introspection:
01. Experiments with Truth – Inspired by uplifting words and reminders of faith, this series explores how truth is revealed and lived out.
02. Love Over Fear – A bold black-and-white collection symbolizing the courage to break free from societal binaries and embrace love as a guiding force.
03. Signature Series – A deeply personal collection reflecting Kerr’s journey through moments both ordinary and extraordinary.

Works on Paper:
A Story of Reinvention & Hope
Born at the start of the pandemic, Works on Paper explores themes of transformation and new beginnings. Vintage books—many published around the 1918 pandemic—were deconstructed and repurposed, their original narratives removed to make space for something new.
Through layered pigment and composition, these works remind us that no matter the uncertainty we face, we are always capable of rewriting our own story. The bright, uplifting colors symbolize resilience, optimism, and the ability to find beauty in change.
This collection consists of three material variations, each offering a unique way of working with antique book elements:
Book Covers – Structured compositions built from the covers of old books, with acrylic and/or book pages collaged on top.
Book Pages – Original book pages repurposed as a canvas for new meaning.
Mincing & Pigment – Deconstructed pages blended with pigment to create richly textured works.
Themes
Creativity, renewal, optimism
Process
Repurposing antique books into modern mixed-media artworks
Materials
Vintage book covers, original book pages, acrylic, and pigment
Intention
To symbolize reinvention, resilience, and hope
Interested in a commissioned artwork?
I love creating custom pieces that are personal, meaningful, and designed specifically for your space. To begin, we’ll have a brief 10-minute consultation to discuss your vision, the artwork’s location, color preferences, and any existing styles you’re drawn to. If helpful, I can digitally edit a piece into your space so you feel confident in your choice.
For sizing, I ask clients to send a photo of the space (taken straight and level) along with key measurements—such as the width of a sofa if the piece will hang above it. This helps ensure perfect scale and proportion.
Once we finalize the details, I require a 50% deposit to schedule the work. Paintings are typically completed within 2-3 weeks, with an additional week for shipping anywhere in the U.S. via FedEx. Large-scale works ship via FedEx Freight, where delivery will be coordinated with you directly. Standard ground shipping is free, but special handling (e.g., inside delivery or lift-gate delivery) may incur additional fees.
