Austin Kerr is an artist and creator of contemplative paintings, murals, and furniture restoration work.

Kerr considers himself a creator of reflective pieces, inviting the observer to feel calm, unrushed, and connected to the present. Inspired by wabi-sabi, he believes contemplative art gives us a vulnerable place to observe aspects of life we don't typically consider, helping us be more present with one another and live more enriched lives.

Originally from Texas and now based in Miami, each collection showcases spiritual inspiration and transformation. For Kerr, God's redemption affords him a medium to incorporate and appreciate the transience and imperfection of things, people, and places.

Kerr found his passion for creativity and painting at the early age of six from being around his family's furniture manufacturing business. This involvement enabled him to acquire many skills to specialize in various painted finishes, particularly in antique reproduction. In 2009, he launched his own company, Detailed Finishes by Austin Kerr, LLC, serving designers with high-end finishes.

Life’s most challenging moments compelled Kerr to produce more spiritual art. As a form of healing and cultivating a meditative space, Kerr’s artwork became a nexus for keeping his creations, each unique story, and himself connected deeply to God.

Kerr's art is showcased throughout the United States in diverse residential and commercial luxury communities, and abroad by Amelie, Maison d'art in Paris. In addition, his works have been featured in show-houses like Kips Bay Palm Beach and published in magazines, including AD & Veranda.
